   This place made me feel uplifted in mind/body/soul. It was a very powerful experience. Very. All the energy of the place was upwardly mobile, taking me along with it. The cathedral part of the site, however, had the exact opposite effect on me. It was cold, dark and heavy. It brought me back down from my ethereal heights with a bang…..

   I’m so darn glad that you got the chance to experience the mystical magical Mesquita de Córdoba.

     I totally understand the different moods you experienced while touring the interior of the Mezquita, Carolyn. As the story goes, the Catholic King who ordered the building of the Cathedral inside the ancient mosque later lamented the damage done to such an extraordinary building. It truly is a unique structure and a must-see when visiting Andalusia. Thanks for your comments!
